Martin is a big guy. So big in fact, his frame landed him the role of body and stunt double for the character Hagrid in the Harry Potter Franchise. But long before that, Martin’s 6’10’ frame was put to better use on the rugby field. As an England forward, he enjoyed a successful international career, winning 31 England caps and two Five/Six Nations Grand Slams from 1991 to 1996, as well as being selected to represent the British & Irish Lions in New Zealand in 1993. Injury prematurely ended Martin’s rugby career in 1998, but his charismatic personality and natural stage presence helped him to transition into an excellent and hilarious speaker and a brilliant TV presenter for ITV and BT Sport among others.
