Johanne is a positive disruptor, facilitator, speaker, mentor, culture writer, and the founder of ‘Amp Up Your Voice’, a Black owned, women led, anti-racism, justice, diversity and equity consultancy. If that's wasn't enough, Johanne is also a senior executive leader who has proactively championed the equality and diversity agenda throughout her 20 years working for a range of professional bodies. A passionate advocate, Johanne speaks openly about her lived in experience and ways we can all create the foundations for equitable, inclusionary businesses across all marginalized individuals and groups, and works collaboratively with decision makers and leaders to drive long term change. For seven years, Johanne led teams as the Head of Policy at the ‘Academy of Medical Royal Colleges’; collaborating across peer organisations to create game-changing education and training policies. Since 2020 Johanne has also brought her expertise in an interim role as departmental Deputy Chief of Staff at BEIS, the government department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
