Brian is a former NBA player renowned for his tenacious rebounding and fearless attitude on the court. Throughout his 12-year career, he played for five teams, including the LA Lakers and Miami Heat, and significantly contributed to his local communities. His efforts were recognized when he received the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award. Unfortunately, in 2006, Brian retired from professional basketball, and just two years later, at the age of 36, he was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson's disease. Despite this challenge, Brian inspires others as a speaker, philanthropist, and patient who remains determined to thrive with Parkinson's disease. He aims to empower individuals to reach their full potential despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles. In 2013, he delivered a TEDx talk in Portland titled "The Domino Effect," further showcasing his ability to motivate and inspire others.
